Lower School Dining Hall

The Lower School Dining Hall is being designed to support a variety of programs and functional purposes. This campus expansion project will enhance the breakfast and lunch dining experiences for the entire school community by providing our youngest students with a designated and appropriate dining area. This facility will boast 7,500 square feet of multi-purpose space, which will include indoor dining capacity for 180 students and outdoor dining, under the beautiful veranda, for 130 students. This new construction will also enable a more flexible dining schedule for our Middle and Upper School students.

Lower School Dining Project will:
  • Enhance the dining experience for Lower School students by reducing transition time during the lunch period, fostering a relaxing and less hurried dining experience
  • Provide a healthier paced lunch, allowing teachers to monitor and guide student food choices, manners, and clean-up responsibilities
  • Develop age appropriate menu items that appeal to younger students’ palettes as part of our SAGE Dining Service
  • Create flexible learning space designed to support community assemblies, music performances, and other events
  • Integrate indoor and outdoor seating with open air flexibility
  • Provide more flexible scheduling of the Lower School gymnasium and stage (MAC), making it more accessible for a variety of classes and programs
  • Support all-school student health with the relocation of the Nurse’s office to a more central location
  • Create more classroom space by renovating Building E
  • Enable a more flexible dining schedule for our Middle and Upper School students
  • Enhance Middle School outdoor recreation area
