Welcome from the Head of School
Dear Parents and Visitors,
Welcome to Community School of Naples! My colleagues and I are delighted that you are considering our school for your child’s education.
At Community School of Naples, we have a clear vision of what a modern, well-rounded education should be, in the complex and diverse world of the 21st century. Our task is to prepare students for the future, in an environment where academic success is prized alongside a commitment to being the best version of yourself you can possibly be.
We do this by providing our students with a challenging academic environment, engaging them in a wide range of athletic opportunities and involving them in the fine arts, community service and other clubs and activities, all of which allow them to discover and develop individual passions.
I watch our students arrive in our car park every morning, and they come to school full of smiles and anticipation of a new day. Our students are local and global at the same time, from approximately 20 states and a dozen different countries, and their varied backgrounds create an exciting learning environment. We are a true Community.
Our academic program is geared toward developing the full potential of each student and preparing them for success, not just at college and university, but also for life. Of course, without our dedicated and talented faculty, our school would not be able to deliver on our mission, nor offer such a diverse and engaging curriculum. CSN’s teachers are highly professional, come with a wealth of experience and are committed to student learning.
Technology is ubiquitous at CSN. We have a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) laptop program in grades 4-12 spanning across the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools, and access to laptops and iPads, with a 1:1 iPad program in our Lower School classrooms. Our campus has universal wireless Internet access that allows students and faculty to use technology wherever they are at school. We embrace technology as another tool for learning and communicating, and we are steadfast in our endeavor to teach Digital Citizenship and responsible use of this essential component that impacts all our lives.
We help our students to develop habits of mind that will last a lifetime, so they are critical, independent thinkers who have a genuine passion for learning. Here on our beautiful 77-acre campus in southwest Florida, it is easy to see why our school is such a popular choice with parents and students alike.
CSN students have told me that they enjoy being part of a community that nurtures and cares for them, but which gives them the space to discover their own talents and skills.
We believe that Community School of Naples offers a unique environment in which students can flourish, be happy and grow into people of character and distinction. To find out for yourself, please come and visit us. You can be sure of a warm welcome.
