Dear CSN Families,

Please consider sharing these online library resources with your family.  While the physical CSN library may be closed, there are many resources -- including e-books, audio books, and movies -- available through our CSN Library page and local public libraries.

Need a Good Book?

Please visit our previous summer reading list at Reading List

Most of these titles should be available for purchase on Amazon or Barnes and Noble

Audible (FREE!)  Audible launched Stories Audible while schools are closed. Anyone can easily access unlimited streaming from a collection of hundreds of titles for kids and adults - no login or membership needed!

CSN Library Resources via the CSN portal – Login to the CSN Portal to find links to the CSN Library Resources which include subscription academic databases, including remote passwords to Bloom’s Literature, BrainPop, Columbia International Affairs Online, JSTOR, NewsBank, Noodletools, Questia, and World Book.

BrainPop -- a fun, web-based collection of over 1,000 short, animated videos, along with interactive quizzes and other materials, covering all subjects including science, social studies, English, math, engineering and technology, health, and the arts (available via the CSN subscription database page).

Public Library Resources -- visit the Collier ( and Lee County Public library pages to learn more about the vast offerings (e-books, audio books, downloadable movies and music, academic databases, etc.) you can access with your public library card.  For students who did not request a library card when we ordered them in September, they may sign up for a temporary library card that will be valid throughout this situation by visiting:  Collier County residents  and Lee County residents

Some of my favorite Collier County Public Library (CCPL)resources that you can access for free via the CCPL page  using your CCPL card are:

Creative Bug – has thousands of award-winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists.

Hoopla - is a digital media lending service powered by local libraries worldwide. Users sign up with an email address, password, and library card information, and Hoopla gives them access to their local library's collection of digital titles. Users can then borrow a limited number of titles per month.

Libby is a free app where you can borrow eBooks and digital audiobooks from your public library. You can stream books with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card.

If you have any questions, need reading suggestions for your child, or would like support with any of the resources shared, please do not hesitate to email Ms. Suzanne H. Bailey, Director of Media Resources, Community School of Naples at

Wishing you and your family good health throughout the coming weeks.
