World Class Polo

In 1984, Dr. Roger Williams, one of Community School of Naples’ first founders, set out raise funds for the School and simultaneously give Naples a taste of “The Sport of Kings.”  He organized an extraordinary Polo event in which spectators watched under “the big tent,” while sipping champagne and sampling a variety of epicurean delights. 

A few years later, Fred Pezeshkan began chairing the event, introducing a Grand Champion Hour, which added a live auction and Reverse Raffle to the afternoon.  Over the years, several key parents, and friends of CSN have stepped in to chair, oversee, and contribute to the success of the event.  This year, as CSN celebrates a very special 40-year anniversary, Stephanie and Fred Pezeshkan, Jenny and Kermit Sutton, Marni and Neil Chur, and Becky and John Allen are merging past traditions with fresh ideas as they reunite former committee members to plan a spectacular afternoon filled with the spirit of World Class Polo.   

Benefiting the Community School of Naples Financial Aid Program, will graciously be hosted by Jenny and Kermit Sutton on their breathtaking Wrenwood Farms property.  With this stunning backdrop, this premier event will begin with a champagne reception amidst an antique car collection.  The memorable afternoon will continue as guests enjoy a thrilling Polo game and fabulous cuisine in a luxurious double-decker tent where select sponsors will have the opportunity to entertain their guests in the King of Sports Sky Suite. 

A game of speed, finesse, and courage for both horse and rider. Spectators will witness an exhibition presented by the Sarasota Polo Club that involves physical contact and astonishing stamina. This is a unique opportunity to experience the harmony between horse and rider, up close, and appreciate the oldest organized sport in the world.
