March 25, 2021 COVID-19 Update
Dear Parents,
In the past couple of days, we have had reports of a small number of positive COVID tests among our students, primarily in the Lower School.
While the reality of living during a pandemic has been exhausting, it is important that we remain mindful of the need for continuing our healthy habits throughout the remainder of this school year. The success of the school in operating without pause throughout the pandemic has been a result of a sound community effort. Without our collective effort this would have been impossible. One of the best ways to mitigate risks of exposure is to keep yourself and/or your student home if they are experiencing any COVID-like symptoms. That has been, and will continue to be, the school's most important and reliable mitigation effort. That protocol, coupled with wearing masks, has significantly reduced the risk of exposure on campus.
Furthermore, common sense and sound judgement should apply during the period in which someone is awaiting COVID-19 test results. If you are experiencing symptoms and concerned enough to get a test, or otherwise alerted to possible exposure, then you should stay home while those results are pending.
Exposing others in the interim is at best reckless, and at worst dangerous. Please have a conscious regard for others when making decisions which may impact our school community and on-campus learning. Should you have any questions or uncertainties, please consult with your doctor.
Let's keep our campus safe and fully operational until we emerge on the other side of this pandemic. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Kind regards, Dr. David Watson Head of School
