March 13, 2020 Coronavirus Update Dear Parents, Colleagues, Students and Friends,
Starting Tuesday, March 17 and continuing through at least Friday, March 20, all classes in all grades at Community School of Naples will be suspended, to be replaced with online, distance instruction and other alternative learning options.
On Monday, March 16, students and families should continue to monitor their emails for further instructions from their teachers regarding logging in to their online classes and distance learning activities.
Spring Break is brought forward to the following week (March 23 – 27).
Please note the following :
Teaching and learning will continue for every single one of our students. Teachers will be working hard to ensure the highest standards of instruction via alternative means other than the classroom.
The School Business Office will remain open during this period. Office hours will be 8.30am – 4.00 p.m.
Parents and students should remain in email and text contact with their teachers regarding any teaching and learning issues, and with your Division Head or myself on further logistical or organizational matters. Check your email and the school website regularly. While we very much regret the disruption this causes in the lives of our students, families and colleagues, our highest priority is the well-being and safety of every member of our school community. I would also add that there are no known or suspected cases of coronavirus at the present time within our CSN community.
The CSN community is often at its best in times of adversity. We have seen this in the community's reaction to devastating weather events and other recent challenging moments. We will all be just fine if we follow a common sense approach. practice good hygiene, social distancing, and minimal public interaction.
I thank you all for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this period.
Kind regards, Dr. David Watson Head of School
