A beacon of learning, research and innovation, the Library is housed in The Landi Media Arts (LMA) Center. Featuring 31,000 square feet of space, the LMA encompasses an innovative two-level library, computer labs and classrooms. Computers offer students tools to accomplish their research and project goals. A knowledgeable staff is accessible to instruct and guide students of all ages.

On any given day, the Library is a hub of activity, equally accessible from all points of campus and utilized by each and every student on a weekly, if not daily, basis. A lakeside setting adds the element of tranquility, befitting a library atmosphere, while the outdoor lakeside plaza offers space for social gatherings with a view of nature.

Mrs. Wendy Grossman

Long Term Substitute/Library Support

Wendy Grossman grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Florida seeking sunshine in 1996 after earning her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire.  She went on to become certified and specialize in lymphedema therapy, working mainly with cancer survivors.  She earned certifications in massage therapy and yoga instruction, and has organized and led several lymphedema and wellness programs, support groups and community outreach engagements.  She was active in the local medical community, serving as President of the Collier County Medical Society Alliance in 2011-12.

Wendy took a pause in her health care career to be at home with her children, and always a lover of books and reading, began volunteering in the CSN library in 2012.  Since then she has served as a substitute teacher and library support staff, chairing many CSN book fairs. Continuing to pursue her love of the library, she earned a post-graduate School of Information Certificate in Youth Services from Florida State University in 2019.  

Mrs. Rene Vernava

Library Support

Rene Vernava comes from the St. Louis area where she was the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at St. Luke's Hospital. She earned her B.S. in Physical Therapy from St. Louis University and was certified as an exercise specialist from the American College of Sports Medicine.

Having worked in the university library throughout college, Rene was drawn to the CSN library as a volunteer in 2002, and then officially joined the staff in 2005. She and her husband, Tony have two children, Anthony '14 and Maria '16.
