From the Head of Upper School
With more than 170 Upper School courses, students have the freedom to chart a path as ambitious and unique as they are. From college preparatory and honors classes to Advanced Placement and Post-AP offerings, our curriculum provides exceptional depth, challenge, and opportunity across every discipline. Whether exploring new interests or pursuing advanced academic goals, students are empowered to learn boldly, grow confidently, and reach their fullest potential.
Mr. Hunter Wight
Assistant Head of Upper School & Dean of Academics
Hunter Wight joined the CSN faculty in 2018. Before arriving at CSN, he taught Latin and coached tennis at Culver Academies in Indiana and at Christian Brothers High School in Tennessee. He holds a B.A. in Classics from the University of Kentucky and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
Since 2020, he has served on the leadership teams of the middle and upper schools in various capacities including Student Life Coordinator, Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator, and Interim MS Academic Dean.
Mr. Brandon Nau
Upper School Dean of Students
Brandon Nau is originally from Iowa and moved to Florida in 2021. Prior to teaching at CSN he taught physical education for seven years in Iowa and history for four years in Florida. He was at Gateway Charter School in Fort Myers and at Bonita Springs HS where he was also the head basketball coach. He has 15 years of both high school and college coaching experience in baseball and basketball. Mr. Nau graduated from Iowa Wesleyan and holds a degree from the University of Iowa in Physical Education K-12 with an Athletic Coaching and History endorsement.
Mrs. Rachael Klaas
Dean of Academic Advancement
Originally from Tampa, Mrs. Rachael Klaas moved to Naples after graduating from The University of Florida with a B.A. in History. She taught preschool for a number of years locally while completing her M. Ed. in Exceptional Student Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. Prior to coming to CSN, Mrs. Klaas served for four years as the Head of The Learning Center at The Village School of Naples, where she created a successful program to meet the needs of the individual learner. In addition to serving as the Head of The Learning Center, Mrs. Klaas also taught Middle School Language Arts. In 2017, she was a Golden Halo nominee.
Mrs. Susan Headrick
Upper School Academic Assistant
A native Texan, Mrs. Headrick earned her B.S. in Engineering Technology from Texas A&M University. She and her husband Sean relocated to Naples in 2016 after serving eight years at Tianjin International School in China. In Tianjin, Mrs. Headrick worked part time in the Admissions and Media Relations office. At CSN, she had been a substitute teacher before going full time as the US Assistant.

Upper School life at CSN extends well beyond the classroom, with robust athletics, individualized college counseling, diverse clubs, meaningful community engagement, and experiential learning opportunities that help students discover their passions, develop leadership skills, and prepare for life beyond graduation
Athletics
With more than 52 varsity and sub-varsity teams, CSN Athletics develops student-athletes who compete, lead, and grow on and off the field. Dedicated training facilities and performance support help athletes elevate their game, with more than 22% of graduates each year continuing athletics at the collegiate level.
College Counseling
With an average ratio of one college counselor for every 25 students, CSN provides an exceptional level of personalized guidance throughout the college search and application process. Counselors know each student well, helping them identify the opportunities, institutions, and pathways that best reflect their individual strengths and goals.
Clubs
At CSN, students pursue their passions through award-winning programs in math, science, robotics, Model United Nations, debate, leadership, service, and the arts. Whatever sparks their curiosity, there is a place to explore, compete, and excel.
Community Engagement
Rooted in our Core Values, community engagement is central to the CSN experience. Through service within our school, across Southwest Florida, and beyond, students learn to make a positive impact wherever they are.
Experiential Learning
Upper School students learn by doing through research, service, leadership, travel, and real-world experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom.
