The Class 1A Track & Field State Championships were held this week in Gainesville.
Nick Molloy ‘22 is once again the Pole Vault State Champion! He cleared 4.80 meters (15 feet 9 inches) to win his second state title in a row. Congratulations to his coach Dr. Beagle, and good luck in her next chapter.
Grace Paul ’22 just missed being on the podium for discus, coming in 9th with her personal best of 31.97m. She is coached by her uncle Dan Paul (CSN ’14) who holds the boys school record.
Sophomores Chase Lupo, AJ Hobbs, Nick Gomez-Silva, and junior Sergi Guzman also qualified to compete at States in the 4x800m relay. Although ranked 18th, they came in 14th with their season’s best time of 8:38.05. They are all returning next year as Seahawks, so watch for them to excel!
