State Champion Plus More

A CSN student-athlete earned our school's first State Championship of the year, and school records were broken.

Nov. 6 was a great day for CSN with its first State Champion of the year and two school records broken by our Swim/Dive team. Their FHSAA State Championship meet was held in Stuart, where Charlotte Norman ’24 was crowned Class 1A State Diving Champion with an 11-dive score of 459.65!  Last year as a freshman, she came in fourth place with a score of 385.25, so she has quite a future ahead of her.  Charlie Krauss ’22 took 9th place in the 200 free with a time of 1:40.15, beating his own school record from last year (1:41.59).  He also took 8th place in the 100 free.  His best time of the meet was 45.72, beating his own and the school’s record from last year (46.58) and is up for consideration for the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association High School All-American Top 100 Time.  Campbell Steere ‘23 had two personal best times in 200 IM and 100 BR.  She made First Alternate and Top 20 in both events.  We are looking forward to Campbell and Charlotte returning next season.  After seven years swimming for CSN, the last two as team captain, we will miss Charlie as he graduates on to his next adventure.
