NFF Special Distinction

CSN senior Hunter Baker was chosen by the Collier County chapter of the National Football Foundation for the NFF National Team of Distinction. The chapter held its fourth annual banquet last Saturday at the Naples Sailing and Yacht Club. Every year each chapter around the country nominates one player for the national team based on academic achievement, community service, and athletic accolades. The names of every player, including Hunter's, are on display at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. Hunter won a $2,500 scholarship for the honor.

The mission of the NFF, a 74-year-old organization with 120 chapters in 47 states, is to use football to build leaders and upstanding citizens. U.S. Army General Douglas MacArthur founded the NFF in 1947 to reward athletes chosen on the basis of 40 percent athletics, 40 percent academics, and 20 percent community service.  We are so proud of Hunter!
