LS Students Earn Awards in Noetic Math Competition

In mid-November last year, 84 CSN students in grades 2-5 participated in the nationwide Noetic Learning Math Contest. Contestants were given 20 multiple-choice problems that featured questions of varying difficulty across many different types of math skills to be completed in 45 minutes.

Over 23,000 students from 49 states participated in the competition. We are thrilled to announce that 47 of our students earned the distinction of Honorable Mention, finishing in the top half of their grade level nationwide. Several students had particularly stellar performances. The following achieved a score that is among the top 10% of the entire nation: Valentina Westberg ‘32 (perfect score!), Kaleb Robinson ‘31, Teddy Goldberg ‘31, Aidan Sharma ‘30, Alana Aroy ‘30, John Fontana ‘29, and Ariana Sharma ‘29. We are grateful to our classroom teachers and our Math Enrichment specialist, Mrs. McNamara, for preparing students for this competition.
