Girls XC Leads the Pack

CSN’s girls cross country team made a statement at the Kings Invitational held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at SFCA, winning the meet by 52 points.

There were 14 teams and 128 girls in the race. Top-5 team scores:

1. CSN 51
2. Village School 103
3. Fort Myers 135
4. North Port 163
5. Calvary Christian 188

The Seahawk top seven, led by Sloan Wheeler, are all freshmen and sophomores. Sloan took 3rd with a new PR of 20.21.7. A solid pack followed her: Hanna Hagenbuckle 21:48 (10), Sienna Audrey 22:04 (12), Riley Confer 22:20 (13), Elizabeth Hobbs 22:51 (18), and Karina Hagenbuckle 23:06 (28).

For the boys, senior Sergi Guzman claimed 2nd in 16:14.3, with juniorTyler Mastrangelo in 4th with a new PR of 16:52.4. The team was 7th overall. They resume competition on Oct. 8th at Ave Maria.
