Girls Tennis District 1A Champs!

CSN played District quarters, semis, and finals this past Tuesday and Wednesday on our campus, winning the title without dropping a match! Each round entailed playing five singles and two doubles matches, sometimes in 90-degree heat.  The most intense match was # 1 singles player Kaitlin Quevedo ’24 playing an intense finals match, with the lead going back and forth, which meant Kaitlin had to figure out her opponent’s weakness.  She also won her #1 doubles match with her partner Lily Dounchis ’23, who also played #2 singles.  Their teammates include Sofia Quevedo ’26 playing #3 at only 12-years-old, and losing only one game the whole tournament! Nadia Sondrini ’25 and Bonita Perez ’24 also played excellent tennis, with the team winning 7-0 against Seacrest in the finals, while alternate Stephanie Nichols ’25 cheered them on.  Coach Michelle Fuchs invites all to attend the Regionals against Saint Stephen’s beginning at noon on Tuesday at home. GO SEAHAWKS!!
