Fun for a Good Cause

On Sunday, Jan. 29, many families and community partners gathered on the CSN track to participate in the first annual Family Fitness 5k Fun Run. Photos here.

As part of the schools ongoing wellness efforts, over 130 brave runners of all ages got out to run around our beautiful campus, all while raising money for a good cause. As a final push to cap off our Hurricane Ian relief efforts, donors and race participants raised several thousand dollars to split between our chosen local non-profits of Habitat for Humanity, Neighborhood Health Clinic, and St. Matthew’s House. The event had a 5k option and a fun children’s 1k option, along with yoga and mobility sessions to ease those tired muscles. It was great to see so many people come out for a wonderful cause, and we appreciate that representatives from Habitat for Humanity were able to be there to share the wonderful things they are doing in our community, particularly after the devastation of Hurricane Ian. We look forward to hosting a hopefully larger event next year!
