Eye on Alumni

Rachael Rich CSN ‘17 recently graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Honors College with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition & Neuroscience.  Her honors thesis within the Psychology Department examined the role of childhood maltreatment on adolescent rule-breaking behaviors. She has accepted a position as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Harvard Psychology’s Adolescent Stress & Development Lab.  Rachael shared, “With regards to youth mental health, we certainly do not have all the answers, but my sincere hope is to use my skills to help create some.”  When asked, “What advice would you give to your high school self?”  she responded, “Keep being uniquely you and dive headfirst into what makes you excited for life.  There is no need to focus on being digestible for others.  Fill up space in exactly the way you’d like to, even if others don’t understand it at first.”

Congratulations, Rachael!  You are making your CSN family proud.
