CSN has been notified by the College Board that Doug Glennon ‘22 (now at SMU) and Jordan Law ‘22 (now at UNC) both earned perfect scores on the college-level Advanced Placement® (AP®) Research Exam in spring 2022!
They were among an elite group of only 360 students out of nearly 29,000 in the world to earn every point possible on this exam. “We applaud both your school’s hard-working students and the devoted AP® teacher who has so successfully engaged and challenged them with college-level material,” said Trevor Packer, head of the AP® Program.
Doug’s research was “’A Policy With No Implementation:’ A Content Analysis of the Portrayal of the 2021 U.S. Withdrawal from Afghanistan by American Mainstream News Outlets.” Jordan’s work was on “Viable Currency or Speculative Asset?: A Survey of Public Perception of Cryptocurrency.”
Last year, Heloise Hoffman ’22 and Wren DeHaan ’22, taking the course as juniors, each earned perfect scores on AP Research. The CSN teacher of all these students, Dr. Scherff, has quite a batting record!
