In addition to Sophia, other volunteers from CSN were sophomores Nadia Sondrini, Priya Deonarine, Natalie Ferris, Sofia King, Gabriela Sissman, Nuha Rahman, Katie Montgomery, and Annabelle Boyer. Our dedicated students assisted in setting up the event area as well as helping in different roles during the evening. The volunteers learned much about the process of organizing a successful event for over 200 people. They helped raise donations for local charities “Feed Thy Neighbor” and “Monastery of St. Clare” for those who lost their homes during Hurricane Ian. Money was also raised for orphanages in Croatia and Nigeria run by Carmelite Nuns.
