CSN Mock Trial Returns

For the first time in four years, CSN’s Mock Trial team participated in the 38th Annual Collier County Mock Trial Competition at the county courthouse on Feb. 4 and 5.

In the county-wide competition, CSN's team won the Ernestine Cousineau Award for Professionalism in Advocacy, 3rd place overall, and two individual awards! Victoria Rankin ‘22 won Best Defense Attorney and Sadie Lipman ’25 won Best Prosecution Witness. Both Sadie and Victoria have earned scholarships for their accolades. In addition, Julianna Pedone ‘25 won the CSN team's Most Valuable Player award.

The CSN Mock Trial team was coached by CSN teacher and alumnus Craig Schwerin ‘16 and by attorneys, alumni (and brothers) Skylar Stewart ‘08 and Logan Stewart ‘11. They are very happy to return to their alma mater to help rebuild the CSN Mock Trial program. The CSN Mock Trial club has also chosen its new president, Jonah Findlay McDougall ‘23, to succeed this year’s president Victoria Rankin. Overall, the team is looking forward to future success in the coming years.

The following additional students participated in this year’s competition: Lucas Barakett ‘25, Peter Barakett ‘23, Micah Caito ’22, Asher Carriero ‘24, Zachary Dahlquist ‘24, Amaya Etcheverry ‘24, Olivia Piri ‘24, and Gabriela Sissman '25.
