The Middle School History Club hosted a virtual National Constitution Center lesson on civic virtue. About a dozen students learned how the Founders viewed the pursuit of happiness as being virtuous.
On Wednesday, May 6th, the Middle School History Club hosted a virtual lesson on civic virtue from the National Constitution Center. About a dozen students attended to learn about how the Founding Fathers viewed the pursuit of happiness as the pursuit of being good, virtuous people. The representative from the National Constitution Center showed the students a mystery artifact, which was later revealed to be Ben Franklin’s report card where he graded himself each day on numerous values, like organization and focus. The History Club meets every Wednesday in J-11 (Mrs. Carper’s room) during 1st lunch.
