We are excited to welcome Michael Kingan to the Advancement Division as he joins the CSN community this summer.

Michael brings more than 25 years of experience in institutional advancement, higher education leadership, philanthropy, communications, and campaign strategy. His arrival comes at an exciting time for the school as CSN continues to build energy around the Momentum 2030 capital campaign and the future vision of the institution.

In his new role, Michael will help support the advancement of the school’s philanthropic initiatives and contribute to the continued success and growth of the Momentum 2030 campaign as CSN invests in the future of its students, faculty, programs, and campus.

Michael currently serves as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he oversees development, alumni relations, integrated communications and marketing, and the SCSU Foundation.

Throughout his distinguished career, Michael has held advancement leadership positions at several notable institutions including The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of New Mexico, The University of Iowa, the University of Washington School of Law, and the University of Michigan Law School. Internationally, he also served as the first Chief Advancement Officer at the Singapore American School.

Michael earned his undergraduate degree in political science from Austin College in Texas and holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin.
