US students enrolled in Mr. Mark Danni's Advanced Theater class were given the opportunity this year to choose the Showtime theme and create the skits that tell the plot.
The theme selected this year was "auditioning." With songs like "I Hope I Get It," "I Know What's Going to Happen" and "Greatest Show," students from both musical theater classes were given the opportunity to showcase their singing, dancing and acting skills to the community. Showtime also featured the LS Dance Express, an after school club offered for students interested in performing.
On the final night of performances, the seniors recognized and thanked the parents and staff involved in the production. Mr. Mark Danni directed the show. "Thank you to the student writers, choreographers, and all of the students involved in creating Showtime," he said. He sent his congratulations to them all.
Last week the classes held auditions for Fame, the spring musical performing in April. Students will begin rehearsing in January. Stay tuned for details!
