The MS Marine Science class spends most days taking care of the CSN Ocean, CSN’s 230-gallon saltwater fish tank, or learning about sea creatures via the internet.
However, this week they were lucky enough to visit Fish Story Aquarium and Rescue. Owner, Viktor Jarikov led a private tour through his vast facility that houses freshwater fish from around the world. Mr. Jarikov shared lots of interesting fish facts, regulations, and care techniques, and even let students dip their toes into a tank. The most exciting moments were hand-feeding exotic creatures like arapaima, synodontis catfish, knife fish, silver dollars, and giant gourami. Check out the photos!
