The team included Devon Grider, Lucca LaTerra, Maggie Otis, Chloe Bayer and Samantha Ferris. They competed against teams from public and charter schools across Miami-Dade County. The team demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, collaboration and ethical reasoning. They ultimately finished in fourth after a hard-fought match against the eventual state champions, Archimedean Upper Conservatory.

The National High School Ethics Bowl emphasizes respectful discussion and thoughtful analysis of real-world ethical dilemmas, fostering skills in moral reasoning, communication and problem-solving. Unlike traditional debates, the competition values collaboration and well-reasoned arguments over confrontation, preparing students to navigate complex moral questions in their personal and civic lives. Of particular note, the CSN team was the 2023-24 State Champion, further solidifying their reputation as one of the strongest teams in the region.

The team began meeting and studying in September, learning the art of discourse and how to integrate historically significant ethical theories with contemporary issues. Their preparation involved analyzing ethical dilemmas related to topics such as dating, medicine, law, friendship and civics, ensuring a deep understanding of how these theories apply to the modern world. The team is led by Mr. Jeff Thomas.
