Monday, Nov. 18 kicked off Book Fair week at CSN.
The Book Fair, a long-standing family-oriented tradition, is truly a schoolwide community event, with parents, teachers and students from all divisions providing support and a helping hand. Hundreds of books were donated to classroom and library collections through the generous support of library patrons. All other proceeds from the fair will be used to continue to purchase new books to keep the library collection current and meet the needs of the classroom curriculum. In addition, gently used books were collected to be donated to a local charity.
Mrs. Suzanne Bailey (Director of Library Resources) would like to send out a great big Thank You to Mrs. Wendy Grossman (Library Assistant and Book Fair Chairperson), Mrs. Veronica DeNunzio (Parent Volunteer Book Fair Co-chair), Mrs. Rene Vernava (Library Assistant) and so many amazing parent, student, and faculty volunteers for another successful book fair! A special thank you to Mrs. Heather Dockweiler for once again creating the beautiful Book Fair themed forms. Also, gratitude to Mrs. Jennifer Childs for donating three beautiful baskets of books, all western themed, for the raffle and all the parents who lent their western props for the event. Your continued support helps to make the fair something to look forward to each year. We are so grateful for your time and contributions to the event.
"Thank you to everyone who assisted with decorations, supplied donations, computer needs, overall support, fair setup and breakdown," Mrs. Bailey said. "Your continued support helps to make our fair something to look forward to each year. It places quality books into the hands of our children, as well as adds to our wonderful library and classroom collections. Special thank you for our US and MS clubs who hosted fun activities during the Family Night celebration," she continued.
"As a final note, we are so very grateful for the support of the CSN community and for sharing our love of books and our beautiful library, considered by many to be the hub of the school!"
