In the face of two hurricanes within two weeks, the varsity cross country team stayed the course toward the post season.
CSN hosted the Private 8 Championships at North Collier Regional Park on Tuesday, Oct. 15. It was the first time CSN has hosted a varsity cross country championship event. The teams did not disappoint.
The girls had a nearly perfect day, with their top six runners all earning medals. Sienna Audrey '26 continues to lead the team. She ran down the athlete ahead of her to claim second place (19:30). Hanna Hagenbuckle '26 and Anna Kate Casto '28 were close behind in fourth and fifth, each with new personal records (PRs). The next pack was Elizabeth Hobbs '25 (in eighth) and Rose O’Malley '27 (in ninth) followed by Mia Schmieding '26 in eleventh. Noelle Alsokary '27 finished in twentieth and rounded out the Seahawk top seven. The girls won a Champion plaque and Private 8 t-shirts. Teammate Ava Sparacio '25 also set a new PR as the Seahawks gear-up for Districts at SFCA on Oct. 31.
