Although Hurricane Helene left brutal humidity in her path, the runners for CSN were undaunted at the Ave Invite.
Sienna Audrey won the girls Varsity by a sizable margin, 15 seconds ahead of the second-place competitor. Our team had six of their top-7 runners cross the finish line in under 20th place and easily won the meet. Behind Sienna were Elizabeth Hobbs earning a 6th place ribbon (22:35) and Anna Kate Casto earning the 9th place ribbon (22:53). Right on their heels were Hanna Hagenbuckle in 12th (23:05), Rose O’Malley in 14th (23:06) and Mia Schmieding in 17th (23:20). Noelle Alsokary rounded out the Varsity squad. The JV teams both had enough runners to score team points. Christian DeSalvo and Will Gavin broke into the top-10 (7th and 10th respectively), while Stella Massoll, Shanaya Goemaere, and Mimi Goldberg were in the top-10 for the girls on complete teams. Because they ran the boys and girls combined, there were no individual results for the JV girls. The boys team was 2nd out of four teams and the girls were 3rd of three. There were 69 athletes in the Mixed JV Race.
