Congratulations Coach Selvidio!

On September 3, Coach Paul Selvidio racked up his 50th win as CSN’s Head Football Coach! Coach Selvidio (also the school’s COO and CFO) began his coaching career at CSN in 2013 as the defensive line and running backs coach. He became CSN’s second Head Football Coach in 2014. In his first two seasons as Head Coach, he guided the Seahawks to back-to-back 10-win seasons. In 2015 he led the team to their first-ever appearance in the FHSAA playoffs. In 2016, Coach Selvidio guided the Seahawks to a nine-win season, a trip to the regional playoffs for the second consecutive year, and its first-ever overseas trip to Dublin, Ireland. During his time as Head Coach, he has had five players selected to the All-State team, including the Player of the Year in SWFL and the MVP of the All-State Football Game.

Since Coach Selvidio took over, the team’s record is 50-27, with four post-season victories. Most recently, he led the 2020 Seahawks to a record of 9-2, with two playoff victories and the school’s first-ever appearance in the Regional Championship game. He has had 18 players sign to play at NCAA institutions. They include Brown, Dennison, Duke, East Carolina University, Florida State University, Fordham, Georgetown, Holy Cross, MIT, UConn, University of Chicago, University of Miami, Wake Forest, and West Point, among others. Coach Selvidio credits his coaching staff for much of the team’s success over the years. Coach Rich Crosby, Coach Neil Chur, and Coach Sam Neidigh have been a part of Coach Selvidio’s staff since his first season in 2014.
