On Nov. 15, 11 student-athletes represented CSN at the 1A State Meet in Ocala for a great end to the swim/dive season.
Two school records were broken:
- Egor Kuznetsov in the 50 Free with a time of 21.74, beating the 2020 record by 0.03 of a second held by Charlie Krauss
- 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:09.81 (Lucas Casey, Nick Fabian, Egor Kuznetsov, and Christian McAuley) They beat last year's record by 2.83 seconds.
Swimming and scoring points in the evening finals were:
- Boys 400 Free Relay took third place with a time of 3:09.81 (Lucas Casey, Nick Fabian, Egor Kuznetsov, and Christian McAuley)
- Boys 200 Free relay in sixth with a time of 1:27.92 (Egor Kuznetsov, Carson Feehery, Nick Fabian and Christian McAuley)
- Nick Fabian for 200 Free – fourth with a time 1:40.3 and 500 Free - eighth with a time 4:37.75
- Christian McAuley for 200 - 14th with a time 1:44.14 and 500 Free -14th with a time 4:41.42
- Lucas Casey - 100 Free - ninth place with a time of 46.51
- Sophie Mokhiber for 200 – 11th place with a time 1:54.43 and 500 Free - 11th place with a time 5:04.83
The boys finished fifth in the state out of 46 schools with 96 points, while the girls finished tied for 29th out of 44 schools with 12 points.
Earlier swims that did not qualify for the evening finals were:
- Lucas Casey for 50 Free – 17th with a time of 22.03 missing the finals by 0.01 of a second
- Boys 200 Medley relay – 20th with a time of 1:44.76 (Lucas Casey, Carson Feehery, Gabriel Miller & JD Scoular)
- Egor Kuznetsov - 100 Free – 23rd with a time of 48.81
- Girls 400 Free relay - 20th place with a time of 3:52.73 (Vivan Mokhiber, Sophia Yurko, Emma Mastrangelo, and Sophie Mokhiber)
