DATABASE MANAGER
Community School of Naples (CSN), is currently seeking an experienced Database Manager. This position requires a BA/BS or higher with additional training and/or certification in database management a plus. Two to four years of database management experience is required and must include experience in school information systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the ongoing database system and data integrity. This position works closely with CSN’s Business and Admissions/Advancement Offices to ensure accuracy of all database information including student, parent and alumni accounts and integration of data to other partner vendor systems.

Upper School Spanish Teacher
Position Description & Requirements
Community School of Naples is seeking an Upper School Spanish Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year, with a start date of August 5. This is a growth position based on projected US enrollment. The position requires native or near-native proficiency in written and spoken Spanish, a bachelor’s degree in Spanish (master’s degree preferred), and a strong academic background. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching all levels of Spanish, preferably with independent school experience. Passion and experience with integrating classroom technology is a plus. In addition, the candidate should be committed to ongoing professional development that supports ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and guiding principles such as authentic materials, backward design, teaching grammar and vocabulary in context, and Can-Do statements for goal setting and reflection, among others. Teaching responsibilities will include 5 sections of Spanish, with a class size average of 14-16 students. Other responsibilities include serving as an advisor to a group of students and serving as Spanish Team sponsor.

Middle School Spanish Teacher
Position Description & Requirements
Community School of Naples, an independent, college preparatory school, is currently seeking a full-time Middle School Spanish teacher who is skilled in teaching Spanish to middle school children in a proficiency-based environment. The appointment begins August 5, 2022. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) and at least three years of teaching Spanish at the middle school level, preferably in an Independent School. Experience teaching in the target language at least 90% of the time and using ACTFL proficiency standards, along with proficiency-based assessments, is preferred.
Teaching responsibilities will include Spanish language courses with the possibility of candidate-compatible electives. The successful candidate will teach five classes a day, with the average class size being approximately 8-15 students. The position also requires leading a grade-level advisory and sharing division responsibilities with a grade-level team.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a proficiency-based environment where focus on student-created communication of language is built through a well-articulated curriculum. Advancement Associate
Position Overview:
The Advancement Associate will increase the capacity of Community School of Naples fundraising and engagement by providing comprehensive support within the Advancement Department. The Associate will ensure the smooth operation of the department by assisting with fundraising information systems, fundraising campaigns, and special events.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accurate with strong communication skills. They will be able to work both independently and collaboratively with an internal team and with all members of the community, including faculty, staff, vendors, and parents. Exhibiting strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with a “can do” attitude, the Advancement Associate will convey our school culture of warmth and inclusivity.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating, updating, and correcting database records in accordance with the current database standards
- Utilizes queries to create reports from the database in a timely manner
- Provides prospect research utilizing prospect research tools
- Serves as backup personnel to process donations for each fundraising initiative
- Manages the coordination and implementation of Advancement events

Advancement Assistant
Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Advancement Department, including all administrative tasks associated with the School’s significant fundraising initiatives. The role of the Administrative Assistant is rooted in versatility, multitasking, flexibility, adaptability to changing responsibilities, and the motivation to expand the depth of job-based knowledge.

- Data entry for creating, updating, and correcting database records (e.g., Senior Systems)
- Create and manage mailing lists, email lists, and other reports for school-wide communications
- Gather and prepare materials for meetings and events
- Drafting and proofing office communications
- Scheduling meetings, preparing thank you letters, and drafting/sending communications
- Assists in the coordination of events (e.g., registration, preparing name tags)
- Internal and external website calendar management
- Proactively supports the Advancement team in the effective operations of the office

School Nursing Assistant
Community School of Naples, a PreK-12, independent school of over 900 students, is seeking a qualified School Nursing Assistant to start August 5, 2022. This full time position will report to and assist our current Senior School Nurse. Work hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. The nurse’s office is closed on all school holidays.
Position Description and Requirements
A School Nursing Assistant must hold a CNA certificate and current CPR and First Aid certification. One year of experience is required; two to three years preferred, in the medical field with emergency room, pediatric nursing or school nursing experience a plus. Experience working with children is preferred.
The Nursing Assistant will provide clinical services to students and, on rare occasions, employees. This person must be adept at working with children from 3 to 18 years old as well as adult employees. Service is generally first aid, emergency care and/or referrals to other health care providers. A typical day will see 35 to 45 students visiting the nurse's office and this busy office requires a person who is caring and patient, yet efficient, good at multi-tasking and will remain calm when the office feels hectic.
This position includes the duties of teaching a CNA class during the fall semester only. This class is for seniors who have completed Anatomy & Physiology courses and will provide students with the fundamentals needed to prepare for the CNA exam. The class is one period per day, four days per week and the Upper School Science teacher will assist with this program.
Excellent communication skills are needed for working with children, teachers, administration, parents, support staff, and outside service providers. Good computer skills are required for documentation/medical charting. The physical requirements of the position are somewhat demanding, depending on the situation including, but not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, lifting up to 20lbs, kneeling and sometimes working outside in the Florida heat. Proficiency in speaking/understanding, reading and writing in English is required.

School Bus Drivers
Community School of Naples is currently seeking School Bus Drivers for Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call positions. All drivers report to the Facilities Manager. The pay rate is $19 to $22 per hour depending on the assignment and qualifications. All positions require a CDL with the P and S endorsements as well as Air Brakes. Experience with school bus driving is preferred. CSN is not able to provide assistance with acquisition of required licensing but will pay for required medical certification, background checks/fingerprinting and drug testing.
The Full-Time position is responsible for the morning and afternoon runs, scheduling of all transportation needs in an online system, to include field trips and athletic trips; booking charter busses when needed. Other duties include but are not limited to scheduling of vehicle maintenance and tracking this for DOT compliance, monitoring other driver’s license validity and keeping busses gassed up, clean and ready to go. We have four vehicles and three drivers. Computer experience is required. Overtime may be required during busy athletic seasons when additional trips are requested. Most of the driving will be locally within Naples but could occasionally include an after-school athletics trip to other south Florida schools.
This full-time position offers a minimum of 30 hours per week, with any hours over 40 per week paid at the overtime rate. This position is eligible for our full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability available on the first of the month following the hire date and the part time benefits listed below. Retirement plan participation is available in the first year, with a generous employer match after one year of full time service. This position is paid during holiday breaks and is furloughed during the summer break. Sick and personal days are provided, but no vacation days due to being paid during holiday breaks.
The Part-Time position is 20 hours per week and driving assignments may vary. The part time benefits include free breakfast and lunch on all school days, participation in our Retirement Plan, Aflac offerings, Legal Shield & ID Shield, Pet Insurance, HealthEChoices Teledoc, and use of campus fitness center and pool.
The On-Call positions are used to fill in when scheduling is heavy or when a regular driver is away from work. Some weeks you may be called in for half days or 1-5 days per week. Some weeks there may be no calls for work. There is no guarantee of hours. Part time benefits apply.

Requirements
Although we welcome inquiries throughout the year, typically instructional vacancies are identified in late winter and posted on this website. A few requisite qualifications for faculty appointments are:
- Teachers are required to hold at least a Bachelor's Degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher learning, with a majority of coursework in the subject they wish to teach.
- Transcripts from all degree programs will be requested as part of the hiring process.
- Previous teaching experience is expected, but can be supplemented by advanced degrees, overseas or college-level teaching experience. All applicable experience will need to be verifiable through the associated organizations.
- A demonstrated record of civic-mindedness, professionalism and integrity is essential. As such, CSN requires all employees, including substitute teachers and coaches, to undergo a thorough background check prior to employment.
