CSN Faculty in ACTion!
Posted 07/02/2010 12:03PM

For three weeks this summer, four CSN teachers are contributing their time and expertise to help 80 Immokalee High School students prepare for the ACT, a college entrance exam. The group, named Level Field Academics, is comprised of CSN Director of Admissions and Marketing Scott Vasey, Upper School Dean of Students Eric Miles, US English teacher Deb Bright, and US Math teacher Tod Toth. The instruction in English, science and math takes place at the Immokalee Technical Center, Monday through Thursday for three hours a day and the group's involvement won't simply end when the summer courses finish. Monthly visits to Immokalee will keep the preparation ongoing and effective, and plans are already in the works to offer the program next year.

The Community School team will be interviewed on Fox 4's Morning Blend, airing Monday, July 12 at 8am. If you can't view this live, please check back and we'll provide a link to the segment video as soon as it's available.
