The Community School of Naples Legacy Fee
Due to its outstanding reputation, The Community School of Naples has grown significantly since its inception in 1982 and continues to do so today. The campus that is enjoyed by families today was made possible through the generosity of families who came before. The one-time, $1,000 Legacy Fee applied to each child of families new to the school insures the legacy of a priceless education for your children and for those who come after them. This non-refundable Legacy Fee will be placed in each child's class endowment, which in turn will build the school's general endowment.
Financial Aid
Each year, approximately 25 percent of the student body receives financial aid. The program allows academically qualified students to attend The Community School regardless of their families' financial status and helps maintain socio-economic diversity, a key aspect of CSN's mission.
Financial aid is awarded on the basis of need, and the school adheres to a need-blind admissions policy. Financial considerations are granted independently of admissions decisions. The Community School's first commitment is to CSN families who currently receive financial aid. The school will then award grants to new and returning students who have not previously received aid. We endeavor to meet the demonstrated financial need of as many accepted candidates as possible.
Please indicate on the admissions application that you would like to receive the financial aid application. Applications are available in November and will be mailed to families who have requested them. The completed Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) should be mailed to School and Student Services in Pittsburgh, PA by February 1, 2011, with a copy sent to The Community School.
Completed financial aid applications are due to CSN by February 1, 2011. Applications should include a copy of the PFS as well as a copy of your family's 2009 tax return. Financial aid applications received after the February 1 deadline may not be considered by the Financial Aid Committee depending on the availability of funds.
