Welcome from Head of School
Welcome to the Community
School of Naples. I welcome you not only as the
Head of School, but as someone who’s had the privilege of developing a deeply
personal relationship with CSN over the past 25 years. Indeed, my
relationship with CSN has been one of the great joys of my life.
As an educator, administrator, and now as Head of School,
I’ve watched CSN grow from a small school of only forty students, five
buildings, and twenty-six acres to a mature, mission-driven, and nationally
recognized institution dedicated to educating over 700 students in dozens of
buildings on a beautiful 110-acre campus. I’ve overseen the construction
of our campus’ landmark facilities, each of which has enabled us to deliver
programs second to none in Florida.
More importantly, I’ve overseen the building of our top-rated faculty and
staff… our people are our prized asset at CSN. And, closest to my
heart, I’ve watched my own two daughters, now sixth
and eighth graders, thrive in every way since beginning pre-kindergarten
here at CSN. My wife Lisa and I are deeply grateful for having been a part of
this school’s wonderful community for so many years.
For all this dynamic change and growth, though, CSN remains
dedicated to one simple, foundational belief: that we have been given a special
trust by our families to ensure our students’ academic, artistic, and athletic
success, and to provide for their personal happiness, fulfillment, and
safety. We’ve been able to consistently deliver on this trust for over 25
years thanks to an experienced, highly educated, compassionate, and tireless
faculty who deliver an unmatched curricular experience each and every
day. Importantly, we also count on the essential partnership
that begins with each family when they send their child to CSN. By working closely and communicating
frequently with each family, we can realize our
collective, communal goal: to guarantee that each student leaves our school
fully prepared for the diverse challenges that await him or her.
“Trust” and “partnership” are words that define the approach
we take to fulfilling our mission. And, speaking of mission, I invite you
to read our Mission Statement here on the school’s website. A school’s mission statement is a vitally important document,
and ours will give you an excellent sense of the Community School of Naples’
values and priorities.
On behalf of our faculty, staff, and board of trustees, I
look forward to meeting you and beginning a partnership with your child and
your family.
Welcome to CSN,
John E. Zeller Jr.
