Excerpt from Opening Comments - Groundbreaking Ceremony
John N. Allen - President, CSN Board of Trustees
"Completing our Upper School to house the humanities has been a Board priority for a number of years and is now made possible through the uncommon generosity of donors who join an impressive tradition of past benefactors who have funded our facilities throughout our history. Each of these philanthropists partnered with the Community School of Naples because they shared the vision and values of this institution. It is fitting that the largest single gift in our school’s history will facilitate construction of classrooms that will house the humanities.
This gift and the resulting building is a confident investment in you, the student and faculty, with the knowledge that your study and contact with history, art, music, philosophy, and literature will enrich your existence, create more useful citizens, and further the values the Community School of Naples holds dear – academic excellence, academic inquiry, civic duty, altruism, charity, civility, compassion and generosity."
