CSN hosted its 17th annual celebration of Grandparents’ & Special Friends’ Day on Friday, March 5th, welcoming hundreds of guests from all over the states and abroad. This year's event began in the Field House with a buffet breakfast and a morning program of student performances from all divisions. Among the morning's highlights was listening to CSN Alum & current intern, Charles Campbell, share his thoughts on the role CSN has played in his life and in encouraging his love of learning.

A number of CSN Upper School students are participating in the third annual West Point Bridge Design Contest. Developed by the United States Military Academy at West Point and sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the contest is to provide middle school and high school students with a realistic, engaging introduction to engineering.

Congratulations to CSN’s Mock Trial team of Sasha Bennett, Thomas DeMaio, Lucky Hedin, Taylor Morgan, Mark Rocha, Noah Samotin, Sacha Samotin and Travis Williamson and their coaches, Chris Utz and Brad Donnelly, Esq. Representing Collier County, and competing against Lee County’s Canterbury School and Charlotte County’s Port Charlotte HS, they finished first in last weekend’s 20th Judicial Circuit Competition.

This year’s Cars at Community-Helpin’ Haiti raised more than $5000 (money is still coming in!) for the American Red Cross and for Haiti relief. The fun-filled Sunday afternoon event included the car show, BBQ, music, games and a silent auction and featured a homemade lemonade stand, built by the Swann Family and manned by Intermediate School K-Kids Alex Swann and Trent Bell. Thanks to everyone who participated and specila thanks to Maura Kent, who coordinated the event.

CSN's first Asian Festival took place Saturday afternoon in the MAC. Guest dance troupes, music, karaoke, games and delicious food made for a fantastic afternoon.
